Gayané Kaligian is an actor, writer, and fight director from Boston, now based in London.

Her work encompasses stage, screen, and voiceover, with a particular emphasis on diasporan theater. She is a member of the Armenian diaspora, which informs every aspect of her art and activism. She also has a degree in international relations and genocide, which also informs her art and makes her really fun at parties. If she’s not squinting at a script annotation in a cafe somewhere, you can find her daydreaming about her next piercing and proselytising the merits of incomprehensible sci-fi.

In the past four years, Gayané has served as the vice president and company actor with Boston University’s Shakespeare Society. She’s been lucky enough to play Macbeth, Viola, Katharina, and Richard II with BUSS, as well as working with BU’s Wandering Minds and the School of Theater. Her recent credits include Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s Pericles and Apollinaire Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet, as well as the Student Production Award-winning music video Ivory.

  • Recently:

Gayané wrote and produced her play, What We Know, as part of Company One’s Volt Fellowship.

  • Upcoming:

Gayané will be accepting all work from the United States remotely, as she’s moved to the UK for her masters.
